Kristin's journey into the world of art and business has been an evolution of passion and entrepreneurial spirit, deeply rooted in her childhood.

Kristin recalls "Art was my number one joy, a love undoubtedly inspired by my mum's own artistic flair. I was the kid whose bedroom walls were a testament to hours spent with pencil and paper, and whose school diary doubled as a canvas, brimming with sketches and notes.

After nearly 20 years in corporate marketing the desire to create something of her own took hold. The arrival of her children was the catalyst.

Kristin says "The initial trepidation was overwhelming, but the drive to share my work and carve out my own niche was stronger. It's been a journey of self-discovery, reaffirming my belief that embracing change is as essential to business as it is to art. And I couldn't be happier with the decision to dive in."

The Problem

Before joining The Elevatory Kristin was feeling overwhelmed with what to do next to grow.

"It was like being stuck in a constant loop, trying to gain traction. There was this sense of flitting from task to task, without a clear direction for my energy and focus.

I had even taken several online courses, hoping to find some clarity. And while they were rich with information, they were missing a crucial element – feedback. There was no dialogue, no chance to sift through my specific business issues with someone.

That absence of interactive guidance left me second-guessing my choices and hesitant to take the bold steps I needed to stride ahead with assurance."

At this point, Kristin made a huge decision to prioritise promoting and developing her own artwork over selling a range that included hers.

With her new direction in mind, Kristin started experimenting with her unique selling proposition and sales hooks on her website's hero images, aiming to discover the perfect fit for her customers.

Kristin revamped her website entirely, enhancing it with a more robust filtering system and layout. This transformation aimed to assist potential customers in narrowing down choices and discovering the perfect piece.

Additionally, Kristin implemented funnels to nurture leads who visited her website and engaged with her lead magnet offer.

From virtually zero a year ago, she has now cultivated a warm audience of 1,600 people, providing her with a consistent base for repeated marketing efforts.

Paid Ads - Meta

Kristin also learned to master Meta ads with Coach Caroline, a powerful tool that fueled her rapid growth.

In tandem with mastering Meta, Kristin also navigated, implemented, and scaled her own Google Ads with guidance from Coach Jo.

Kristin notes: "Jo brings a wealth of expertise in navigating the technical maze and the constant flux of technical updates and glitches inherent to running a Google Ads campaign. Her oversight and troubleshooting support not only ensured that my technical setup was robust but also empowered me to masterfully optimise my campaigns over time. Her guidance was pivotal in leveraging Performance Max campaigns, laying a foundation for significant growth in my business. My Google Ads campaign has an average ROAS of 389% across the year."

Financials

Haven Prints skyrocketed from zero to six figures in under a year. In October 2022, revenue stood at just $69.00. Fast-forwarding a year, Haven Prints achieved an impressive $30k in revenue in October 2023 and $40k in November 2023!

 

 The Future

After a year of groundwork and learning through trial and error, Kristin's next move involves crafting a detailed strategy for the upcoming year, leveraging the insights she's gained. Her clear objective is to generate substantial income from her business, paving the way to grow her team in 2024.
